How Katie Beckett connects to GAPP

Who this is not for
Families whose child already has Georgia Medicaid can skip straight to GAPP. Young adults 19 and older are outside Katie Beckett. Children whose needs are mainly developmental, without daily medical or hands-on care needs, may be better served by other programs. Call and we’ll point you the right way.
How to apply
- Fill out the Katie Beckett application, Form 94, in English or Spanish.
- Send it to the Centralized Katie Beckett Medicaid Team, 2211 Beaver Ruin Road, Suite 150, Norcross, GA 30071, or apply online at gateway.ga.gov. The old P.O. Box no longer accepts applications.
- Since April 15, 2026, families can upload documents, check status and message their caseworker in the Katie Beckett online portal.
- When your child meets the medical level of care, that approval lasts at least two years.
What to gather
- Your child’s diagnosis and a recent note from the doctor.
- A list of daily care tasks and how often you do them. One Day of Care builds this for you.
- Recent hospital discharge papers, if any.
- Your child’s Social Security number and any insurance cards.
